Camogie is one of many extra-curricular activities that the children get to experience in St. John’s.
Girls from 3rd – 6th classes, be they new to the sport or experienced players train together each week. Each year we run an in-school league competition which affords all girls the opportunity to play matches. The St. John’s Camogie team competes in the Cumann na mBunscoil League and their efforts were rewarded last year (2022) when they won the County Final in Nowlan Park, bridging a 20 year gap since the last county final win. The team has a strong relationship with Johnswell NS who contribute players to the team. Many of our girls are members of O’Loughlin’s GAA Club.
